I'm going to Nassau for a short holiday with a couple of other supers from the great white north. Have been there many times before and looking to play Blue Shark which is the old South Ocean Beach Club(you have to be old to remember this). After looking for an hour found the website is down and phone numbers don't work. Doesn't look good, so if anyone knows more about this beautiful property please share..thanks ed

Just found out. In receivership and little or no maintenance being done to course...shame

Mel, I've only seen a couple of courses overgrown through inaction, now when I'm there next week I'll go and have a look. I saw it at it's prime in early 2009 and looked absolutely terrific. Might look like that goofy show "Life without Man".

One or Two in Freeport have been closed in recent years due to storms in residential communities. If you take a cruise, they will drive you thru the communities trying to sell you on all the upsides of home ownership, meanwhile there is 3 foot tall brush growing down the fairways.
