Don't know how many of y'all are bass fishermen, so if not, just ignore. The world series, superbowl, of bass fishing was a Grand Lake in NE Oklahoma last weekend. The expo was in Tulsa and was not unlike the trade show at GCSAA. Wow!! A who's who of bass fishermen/women and every product one could imagine. Went to weigh in on Friday. It was a little over the top IMHO but similar to nascar, it was geared toward rich rednecks. :P Never the less, pretty cool. On Sunday, I pulled my boat down to Grand and followed Cliff Pace most of the day. He led wire to wire and won by 3 or so pounds. It was impressive watching him fish deathly slow for four bites in the day. Toward the end of the day he caught 2 on back to back casts. Also followed Brandon Palaniuk for a while. Was real good with the gallery.

Any way, if any of you are bass fishermen and the Classic ever gets in your area, I highly recommend going to it.

It's here in Birmingham a good bit. I think it is here again next year. I always try to make it to the civic center for at least one weigh in and the expo. Our State GCSAA Chapter has had a bass tournament for about five years now. We usually have about ten boats, but a ton of fun and a day away from the golf course!
