[quote">SAN FRANCISCO — A California ministry says the end of the world is nigh. Again.

The Oakland-based Family Radio International that stirred a global frenzy when it predicted the rapture would take 200 million Christians to heaven on May 21, now says the cataclysmic event will destroy the globe on Friday.

This time, the ministry and its 90-year-old leader, Harold Camping, are avoiding the media and perhaps a repeat of the international mockery that followed when believers awoke on May 22 to find themselves still on Earth.

The ministry and members declined to comment on the prediction.

Camping, who suffered a mild stroke three weeks after his prediction failed to materialize in May, still spreads the word through his Family Radio International website. God's judgment and salvation were completed on May 21, Camping says in a message explaining the mix-up in his biblical math.

Damn biblical math......they said I would never use it. Wish I had paid attention in school.

The good reverend must have forgot to carry a few millennia in his addition. I really can't blame him for the mathematical error. He's probably doing the math by longhand; he's an old geezer, they don't like to calculators.

When are all these clowns going to learn that the bible they profess to know states that "you aint going to know when Jesus will return dude." Well, it isn't stated exactly like that but at least the younger generation would understand the meaning better. It amazes me how many people divest themselves of all earthly belongings when some crack pot makes a prediction. Now they have nothing and the rest of us end up responsible for helping them out because they are stupid!

Matthew 24 contains that passage as well as another that says that if some tells you they know when, they do not know when.

Do you think this will fly with the IRS when I tell them that I did not pay my past due taxes because I thought the world was coming to an end???

I never knew the real name of that song until Scotty posted it.

    Thanks Scotty!

Are the three little birds code for the Holy Trinity? I think so.

Boy, you are ate up with it, aren't you?

    Lets see.....the Holy Trinity.....
So god had a son....who is actually him....then there's this holy glowing spirit thing which is also god..who, by the way is everywhere at once. That's not even polytheism, that's just silly.

Maybe the song is about three little birds.

I am not only "ate up" I am sure. Also, why would a Rastafarian pick "three birds"?

Yeah...you are totally ate up with it.

This song is Bob's ode to his back up singers, the I-Threes, one of whom (Rita) is now his widow.

    Regards,

    Steve

Or maybe it was a song about three singers. That does not change the reality of the Holy Trinity.

Why is it that all Christian reborn lyrics never seem to rhyme?
