I am pretty sure this has been posted before, but I could not find it with a search. What do you all wear to keep your feet dry? I have worn golf shoes in the past and then put rubber oversoles over them when they aren't waterproof anymore, but those get heavy. I am looking at muck boots men's low hunting shoes, but wanted to see what other people were wearing first. Thanks for your help.

Good leather shoes with mink oil to water proof them, put mink oil on them once a month and they keep the feet dry and stay soft. When it is really cold and wet go to true waterproof boots lined with warm liner to keep the feet warm. I bought both at a place that sells good shoes buy one and get second for half off price of the first pair/most expensive pair. We spend all day on our feet outside so spend decent money on good shoes its worth what you pay for them!JMO

Timberland "wedge" boots. Please understand that i've been experimenting with this for 30 years and never thought that a "Mall" brand would be the answer, but it really is the best true "greens keeper" boot. Flat sole for the true greens keeping task that occur on the green. Very waterproof, especially if you do what was said on an earlier post about mink oiling them every so often. Look at redwing brand also( "Wedge") . They're very expensive but your feet are like your teeth. Take care of them. Its the only set that you get. Trust me, you'll get your moneys worth.

I have been buying LL Bean "Storm Chasers" http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/75931?feat=0-ppxs&dds=yfor the past 5 years. I have exchanged a pair once because they became discolored and a couple of other minor flaws. No hassle return and exchange. I also add a pair of Sof Sole inserts in every pair of shoes I have http://www.sofsole.com/. This has really made all my shoes feel pretty darn comfortable.

I would purchase Red Wing Boots they are 100% gore-tex waterproof and they have a 1 year warranty. The kind I've bought have never leaked and usually wear out first

I buy walking shoes with Gore Tex from Cabellas. They are comfortable to be in all day, yet keep my feet dry from the morning dews or light rains. If working out in the mud, I have a pair of Danner boots that are Gore Tex. I really like Cabellas, Danner, and Rocky. Just be careful when buying boots or shoes that say water resistant or they just say waterproof, always look for Gore Tex.

+1 for Keens. They're the best combination of comfort and durability I've found so far for lightweight "summer" boots - usually last a season or season and a half. In winter, I wear Red Wings and love them. Always stayed away from them because of the price but finally got sick of Rockys falling apart after one winter. I've had my current pair of Red Wings for 4 years and my left foot just started getting a little damp a couple weeks ago.

I too have heard good things about Keens from some friends, however, haven't tried them myself yet. I found a pair of hiking shoes from New Balance that are Goretex at my local Bass Pro Shop. They were around 60 bucks and are incredibly supportive/comfortable. They have also held up very well so far (6-8 months with no heavy wear areas showing yet) and are still nice and waterproof. For winter months I've had great success with leather Caterpilar boots, they are a good cheaper-than-redwing boot that has stayed waterproof and in good shape several seasons now for me.

Gore-Tex...whatever brand/style you want. I prefer hiking boots/shoes or trail runners but whatever floats your boat, just get Gore-Tex and you'll be happy.

I have had great luck with these. I can usually get through a few seasons with these shoes. I like the fact too that they are a bit of more of a "dressy" look rather than your traditional work or outer terrain boot. Fortunate too, an outlet near by where they range from 80-100. Easy tread too so no marks on greens when changing pins, mowing, or just walking and assessing.

I started using Dansko shoes. These are the shoes Dr's prefer to wear, as they are all leather and very comfortable. They cost around $130. I get a new pair every year as I keep on forgetting to treat them with Saddle Soap and mink oil. So, far the pair I am wearing is over a year old and still keep the feet dry. That is without treating them.

Why are you sissies so worried about getting your piggies wet? Are you made out of sugar?

I was just going to spray it on my bare feet. Imagine the people I could freak out walking through puddles.

After watching the video, I started thinking about possible uses on the course past boots. I wonder how it would hold up if put on the booms of a sprayer. Especially if you spray pigments or dyes.

Maybe tee markers or the yardage plates so they don't get stained from spraying. Just curious on course accessories how difficult it would make it to refinish them. Only other problem I see on that is I noticed they don't have a transparent formula.

Anybody actually have any experience with this product?

Ultra Ever Dry....WHOA! Might need to try this. Worked on those leather work gloves, wonder if I can create my own rain gear.

Showed it to my mechanic and his reaction was..."Man, let's brush our teeth with this stuff. We'd never have to go to the dentist ever a gain!"

Anyone know how long the coating would last?

I'm thinking it would repel water to the point of Hydrophobic conditions and KILL YOUR TURF

Not sure, but I have some coming. Worth a shot. I want to use it for boots, shovels, caps and anything else I can think of. I don't think I would be apllying it on turf though...lol

I just bought a pair of these two years ago and they are super comfortable if you are on your feet all day.
    Really like these.
