Just wondering if anyone would be willing to share a scheduling spreadsheet... I've just been moved to a different golf course and it sounds like our golf director wants all the basics jobs to be done in 3 hours.(greens, fairways, bunkers, tees, etc. etc.) I won't be on any equipment, my main job is to train, schedule employees and certify the golf course each day. I'm going to run a crew around 10 to 12 people. We are a municipal golf course, one of four. I'm just moving from one city course to another. I've just never had to manage that many people at one time. Thank you for your help, and Merry Christmas. Dave

    Dave,

When I get back in to work at the end of the week I'll try to attach what I use.

    David,

I have attached the spread sheet that I use. If you have any questions let me know.

It might seem a little busy, I will list jobs that need to be done under the day, and will list projects or other items I'm hoping we can get to just under the lists, like a job jar type deal. I keep the blanks in there for adding jobs that I see we need to do as the week progresses or something breaks down. Some items I just keep in there because I need to remind myself to eventually get to them.

It's something to start with. I have been using a spread sheet like this for about 17 years and find it useful in keeping me straight. Do wonder if there are other documents out there that can help do the same thing.

This is the sheet we use on occasion, especially during tournament weeks.

Have you tried building yourself a google calendar?

Once you get one set up you can add more calendars to it which you can break down to different sections of your maintenance duties. It enables you to set it up with repeating task so you do not have to do it manually every week. I have done one for my complete spraying program and also for our verticutting, greens cutting and rolling programs. It can allow you to give access to viewing to your staff which they can view from their smart phones.
