help. have used propiconazole on 20 year old pencross bent greens in spring for snow mould feel that the parent plants have separated over the years patches range from perfect green to yellow to brown definitely the growth retardant properties have had an effect how long can this last and will any product flush out the residual left in the soil thanks

    David,

Are your temps still fairly low? If so, I would chalk up the color differentiation to the cool temps. The prop. will be gone soon enough. No need to "flush it". Warmer temps will blend the grass color.

I do not have an explanation for what you are seeing but we use propiconazole all the time on older pencross native soil greens and have never had a color problem. They naturally have pathces of color differences during the cold weather.

We often tank mix with primo or primo/cutless with no problems.

Umass just had an update about the color or older bent/poa changes due to the recent warm and cold fluctuation

Out of curiosity, what is your soil phosphorus level? If Mehlich 3 P is less than 18 ppm (36 lb/acre), maybe low P so contributing to the patchy appearance.
