At one of our other courses we have our lake fills set to run during the day all day, as far as I know they do not shut down until about 8 PM before water would begin. It doesn't start until sometime after 6 AM after watering is complete. There are at least 2 lake fills, don't know if they do what yours does but separately so the pumps keep running or not. I will try to find out how theirs is set up. They seem secretive about it, not sure if they want to keep that stuff to themselves or they don't know enough about it.
I do know according to them, the pumps only produce about 800-900 gpm, yet with a 75 and 65 along with a 25 hp jockey (or might be 79 and 60) they aren't pushing the water they should I also have a set to run with just greens at about 600-700 gpm, and normally there is some delay as heads turn on, but they claim when all those heads come on, it sucks the wet well dry and low pressures. I have the same Rain Bird computer here, two 75 hp VFD's with either a 3 or 5 hp maintenance pump and don't have the issues they do, and my station is older.
