I noticed on another post that illoxan was used on bentgrass. I have tifgreen 328 greens cut at .160" in central NC. Some of my greens still have about 5% bentgrass in them in patches that are to large to spray out. So my question is how many out there have used illoxan on bentgrass and at what rate. I dont care if it damages the bent or slows it down considerably but dont want to kill it. Just trying to let the bermuda spread into these spots and take care of a little goosegrass.

    Thanks

I have seen where illoxan was sprayed on collars (Bermuda) at label rates with a great deal of over spray on to the bent. Absolutely no damage to the bent. Also know of a course in the transition zone with heavy infestations of goose. Took out the goose with no damage to penncross. With that said however, I believe however that there is no labeling for greens.

I have sprayed our SR 1020 bent here in Oklahoma in August at the 3/4 label rate with little to no yellowing whatsoever. Smoked the goosegrass. Used Andersons Goose/Crab preemerge this year with good results. I did spray our bent nursery which had goose a couple weeks ago and went at the label rate and maybe then some with some yellowing.

Thanks for the help guys. I have been using andersons goose/crab for several years now with great results but crabgrass is now the issue. Switching back to dimension next year and expect higher goosegrass pressure. Just looking for information now so I will have a plan next year.

Yes there should be a formulation " Oxidiazon and dithiopyr ". The Bensulide is not working with the "Goose and Crab, and I don't want to have to apply multiple apps of Bensulide alone.
