iPad Seminar Topic Cancel The title field is required!

   I am thinking about submitting a presentation to our local Winter Green Expo. The topic would be about iPads.
   
   Tenative title:
   
   iPad apps and uses for the Golf Course Superintendent and the green industry.
   
   I am thinking about showing the top apps I use. As, well as various iPad uses on a daily basis. I have been asked many many times be vendors and supts " How can I use an iPad"?
   
   I would show and describe the apps I use. Probably be able to demo them on a screen.
   
   So, I am wondering if this is a good idea? If so, what would you all like to see in the talk?

   Based upon what I have heard about how some guys use all the newer technology it sounds like a good topic to me. I can't offer you much more than that as my technology is still limited to very basic stuff like e-mail and using the internet for webcasts etc. Don't have an iPhone, Blackberry or anything like that.

   I use my Iphone almost daily with NSN Connect and if I'm home I will use the Ipad. Both work great and are a huge time saver.

   I have been looking at an iPad and trying to decide if I should replace my outdated laptop with one. Can anyone give me their opinion on that? What are some of your basic uses of your iPad?

   David, this won't be an answer but, I saw on Yahoo news feed the other day that with all the ipads and other products that laptops and desk top prices will continue to come down. It did mention about the pros and cons, if I remember correctly if you still have a lot of computer type stuff such as documents and files the laptop would be the way to go, if you have pictures e-mail, surfing the web and the like an ipad would be the way to go. I don't have either so certainly don't take my word for it.

   We just got an IPad at home. My wife loves it. I have used NSN Connect on it which is nice. I would not trade it for a real laptop though. I would get one in addition to a laptop.
