I just purchased my truck mounted Dakota 410. I love it. We are about to aerify fairways. I will be broadcasting rye seed and 0-0-17 with Mg, Mn. I was wondering if I can use this topdresser to spread these? The exact rate of my seed or soil amendments does not need to be as precise as a fertilizer application so thinking it might work. Anyone try this? Suggestions for speeds, setting etc?

Not sure about rates or settings, but I do believe they make paddles specifically for fertilizer and for seed.
    Optional Spinners:
    › Black spinners (fertilizer)
    › Green spinners (grass seed)

Not sure what the bed and frame are made from on the Dakota but I have a Turfco bed mount that I use for sand, seed, and fertilizer. The fertilizer is really hard on it and it does rust, a lot. It took some trial and error to get the gate and belt settings down but I have been fertilizing greens, tees, and rough with it for over 10 years and it does a decent job. Every winter we take the hopper off and remove the belt to clean it out well and paint it. We also replace the pin that couples the belt as it does rust as well.
