I have historically used gypsum often on my greens with the intent of adding calcium and help flush salts. I am looking at other sources.

Gypsum is calcium sulphate usually around 20% calcium and 18% sulphur. I came across a calcium product which is 84% calcium carbonate and 14% magnesium carbonate.

Do you think using this product will help achieve my goals with flushing salts?
What are other effects that i could see, good or bad?

Carbonates won't go into solution in alkaline conditions.

Have you considered using irrigation water to flush salts? My old push-up greens respond well to 2 40min cycles within a few hours of one another. Essentially providing a rain event without the rain. I have also discovered Magnesium Sulfate (Epsom salts) when applied before this irrigation cycle will really help the process and perk up my poa.

    Just a thought

My water is effluent. Pretty high in salts. And they are very heavy push up greens. I cannot do a traditional flush. Plus flushing with a high salt content water just adds salt. So I need to add something to the mix.
