Today I notice brown wheel marks on most of my greens. It looks like I had some sort of chemical on all four wheels of my workman. I took pictures but they don"t show the wheel marks that well... I can't figure out what happened. On Monday I brushed my greens with my greens groomer. I was pulling it with my Toro 3200 workman. After brushing I verticut the greens . The weather was perfect. I didn't mow them right away. I mowed them later in the afternoon. The temperature was about 68. The greens got no water that night. The next day May 14 was hot and windy temp around 92. All I did that morning was roll the greens. These wheel marks match my Toro 3200. The greens got light watering to cool them off during the day. Had a irrigation leak later in the day and couldn't water that night. Does anyone have any clue what happened???? The weird thing is on the same day I verticut a small putting green then brushed, then mowed and no brown wheel marks are present on that green. Any suggestions would be appreciated..... :!: :!: :!:

Did you happen to make a fertility app prior to driving on the greens with the Workman?

I would ask what exactly were you spraying? I've seen tracking before with "hot mixes".

Same here... something about being on the edge with the product, or the rate and having that spray hit the spots that just got trampled by the tires...

The thing is I wasn't spraying anything..... The good thing is the brown tire tracks seem to be disappearing. This week I did spray a wetting agent (flash Wett). Then later in the week I sprayed fertilizer and a micro mix... Its a mystery to me !!!!!

Next question I would ask is, do your wheel marks remind you of a certain driving pattern conducive to your practices?

Yes they do .... When I brush I go counter clock wise the next time I will go clock wise... I haven't brushed for over a week now and the brown tire marks are gone. When brushing I try not to go in the same wheel pattern. Do you think I stressed the turf out by hitting the same tire pattern ??????
