    Hey guys. Need some help. My cousin is a 1st yr supt and kneed.help.#1...someone has told him about a banol drench..does anyone know what that is.....I've never heard of it. H
    . Has anyone done this trenching with banol.

    I believe it is putting down a preventative for Pythium root dysfunction or rot. Usually the banol is put down with 4 gallons of water to wash it into the root zone. Less water can be applied if followed by a few spins of the sprinkler

    Koban and Terrazole can also be used as a drench for pythium root rot. Segway and Subdue are other options as well. It has been recommended to me if your having a problem with pythium root rot to use a mangement program similar to summer patch and start early with preventitive rates of products.

    Not sure Banol is as good of a Preventative drench as it is a Curative drench. May depend on which Pythium he is dealing with or has history with or that he is expecting. GCSAA had a great 1 hour webinar this past Tuesday on the subject. You should be able to easily access it for no cost on this website.
