Anyone have an aerway tow type aerator set up with coring tines? Im researching weather to purchase the coring tine bar for the unit we already own which would be costly, or trade it in on a different brand aerator all together. Was researching the coring tine bar for our aerway and it comes in a 4" spacing which I thought was nice. Mainly interested to know if you like this aerator as much or more or less than the more popular wheel aerators out there?
    Thanks

Trying to decide if I should purchase a coring tine bar for my aerway or trade it in on a more popular wheel aerator...
If you have one or know someone with one I would like to hear if they are as good of an aerator as some of the more popular models.
    thanks

I have looked into this as well. I have the 3-point hitch Aerway with the slicing tines. I have priced the coring tines and you have to buy the entire shaft assembly. It totaled out to about 3500 dollars. So we didn't get it. I thought it was ridiculous that the entire unit cost 6000, and to switch out tines was over half the price. I borrow a Ryan aerocore, and split the cost of tines.

we purchased an agri metal pull behind model FA 720 last year we used 3/4 inch spoon coring tines. Works really well, better when ground is soft! I would wait for a good rain (lack there of), then go out with it.
