We have roughly 30k rounds a year and we aerify twice a year. In the spring we deep tine and pull cores; fall we pull cores. This spring I noticed a significant number of residual holes and dimples from the fall core aeriation. I should have asked first on here; ya live and ya learn. We are skipping a core aeration this spring because I thought with the residual holes and dimples, we might tear up turf. Not only that but, does it really need it if this stuff isn't healed up? This is the first year I have seen these 6 months after the job. I find it hard to believe that they need it if the play was low and the winter was cold to help keep compaction low.

Depends if you are wanting to continue to modify your soil.

We do not skip core aeration because we want to pull out that OM.
