Just wanting to know if anyone has any advice for core aerating bentgrass in 100 degree heat.

Wait and be patient until temperatues relax.

No, not a good idea. I punched last week and we had highs in the low 90s, but we were off the greens before 10:30AM when temp was about 75-80. Most of the work was done early with lows in the high 50's. I used .200 quad side eject tines. If you have to aerate try to get it all done prior to the heat of the day. I have had times when my bent has got a good sunburn from all the dragging and brushing. If it was going to be in the 100's last week we would have used solid tines and topdressed prior to aerating. Eastern Oregon in August is generally hot and dry so I am always prepared to go with Plan B if necessary.

When I was in Texas, we would come in on Sunday night, get 7-8 greens done and finish on Monday morning. Usually, this was 1/4" tines, and we'd skip a week of topdressing because of the softness of the greens. We did this every 3 weeks and they still do it now.
