What is the ideal height to mow at?

It has been decided that we will close 9 of our 27 holes for a "to be determined" date. The question is, what is the ideal hoc to mow the t-1 bent grass greens at if not being maintained for putting?
The course will not be played on at all but we want to keep the greens in good condition so it does not take to long to get them back in to playing condition but that could be a long ways down the road. I'm in the south west desert so I'm thinking to keep the greens from stressing out all summer I would raise the hoc.
Any suggestions on this or anything else to think about when doing this?

    Thanks!

Ben I have T-1 greens here in Rochester, Mn. If you keep doing you normal culture practices I think .140 to .156 would be okay. I'm keeping mine at .140 this year but I'm verticutting every week and I will start a light top dressing program as soon as this wet weather goes away. I get a lot of LDS that's why I'm going with a higher height. I've also incorporated a rolling program ( mow one day roll the next ) seems to be working so far. Hope this helps !!!!

!/4 inch(.250) You can get back to speed in two weeks or so if needed.

    Cory,
Thats exactly what I was thinking, I had already raised the hoc to 1/4 before posting this but then just wanted some confirmation on that decision. Thanks.

David, I'm right there with you, on the courses that are open I have a very similar program, not as much verticutting needed here in the desert but we are close on hoc and your rolling program is exactly what I do. all 27 greens are great and respond so well when they aren't mowed every day. Its really a shame the 9 we closed probably has the best greens on the whole course but the members like the other 2 courses better so thats how it went.
