I've used both in the past and would have to say that the Weidenmann is a beast, but getting replacement parts in the event of something breaking can be a costly and timely ordeal. We had to wait to get the parts shipped from Germany and they weren't cheap. That's on the east coast in the Metropolitan New York area, but that may not be the case everywhere in the country. The redexim is a great piece too and parts are a little easier to get so you may want to factor that in your decision.

I have used both extensively. Ransomes considered purchasing Weidenmann when I worked for Ransomes test facility, before Textron bought them. It's been a while, but that Weidenmann was very stout.

    Ryan,
I have a Weidenmann and love it. It is expensive for parts and tines, but it gets through areas that my old Vertidrain could not. We are in the mountains with almost solid granite base. The Weidenmann keeps on going, make sure your tractor can handle it. We had to add additional weights to the front of the tractor and put water in the tires so it didn't pop a wheely. My mechanic was able to modify and make his own tines to help save on the cost of tines. His modification has really helped with the cost.
