I'm looking for information on Border Collie breeders that train them to chase geese. Just looking for some help from people who have a border collie that has been trained for golf course specifically. Thank you for any help.

We purchased a border collie from Kuykendall's in North Carolina...born and trained to be a goose dog. Looks like they've moved their website to facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kuykendalls.bordercollies/

You can try seclusival kennel. Think they're in Virginia. I've gotten 2 goose dogs from them.

    Brent-

One piece of advice I'd give you if you are looking to purchase a trained goose dog- Meet the breeder and the dog before taking delivery. My club purchased a trained goose dog about a decade ago, and it went very well for 10 years. When it came time for that dog to retire, we made the assumption that based on our success with the previous dog, that we would have the breeder send us another, site unseen. HUGE mistake. The dog didn't perform, had major health issues, and getting the situation corrected was a HUGE PITA. If we ever get another goose dog, I will take the time to go meet the dog and breeder in person.

I would agree with Kuykendall's Border collies. I have had one of their dogs for the last 13 years. She doesn't move as fast as she used to, but is still a great goose dog.

Save yourself a lot of money and effort and buy a really powerful green laser. No more geese.

    Brent,
I've gotten 2 from Seclusival kennels in Virginia. Not only are they excellent working dogs, they are fantastic
    family members also.
