I know I have talked before about some of these issues, but right now we still aren't looking at a standalone weather station like Davis Vantage Pro I yet.

For those without those types of stations, well and I guess even with those types of stations what data are you all collecting?

We currently collect high and low temps on a "Globe digital max/min thermometer (item 2102 in the Forestry Suppliers catalog) Rain in a Tru-Chek rain gauge, soil temperatures with a simple Taylor soil thermometer. And I purchased a manual ETgage Model A with the cover on top; it's like the ones I have seen at university field days. I also have one of those Dwyer hand-held wind meters. I would like to add a hygrometer, but wonder if I could get the newer wind meters that will also read relative humidity. Do you all think that would be accurate enough?

I am just trying to get some ideas and suggestions as we head into the season.

I would think high and low temps, humidity, soil temp, evapotranspiration, wind speeds, precipitation would be sufficient? Are you all tracking more items?
    Thanks!

    Mel
