Hello everyone, I am getting ready for our spring to arrive and I find myself in need of a couple of new water hoses. Has anyone tried out the Kochek ultra light hose? Having a hose that only weighs 18lbs intrigues me since I have a bad back and the red rubber hoses which we currently have is so heavy. Do you find any flaws in the hose performance? Any issues with it at all? How about Kochek's Dura hose? It cost a little more than the ultra light hose but looks like it is made stronger? What are your thoughts on it? If you are currently using other hoses please tell me which kind and your thoughts on it. Thanks

We have used the Kochek ultra lite hoses for 4 years now and I buy 2 or 3 more every year to get rid of the old rubber ones. The guys like them much better as they are lighter and much easier to roll up. Never have any problems with kinking or anything like that. The only down to them is the mesh on the outside of the hose can somewhat scuff the greens a little if you drag them across the grain of the greens, but it is minimal. I definitely recommend them

I have used the UL hoses for 3 years now. They scuff the greens pretty bad at first (bentgrass in Mid GA). I drag them down a fairway a few times and this helps. I have had 5 hose failures over the 3 years, but all were replaced free of charge (Precision). They dont bust, but the lining seperates from the hose and shuts off water flow. The guys love them because they are light and they dont kink.

Maybe I need to start buying from Precision for these hoses. The vendor I was using wouldn't warranty when the one broke, neither would Kocheck.

I do love them though. I even bought some custom length ones about a year ago that were 125'. Always seems 100' isn't enough. Went with the 1 1/4" hose with the 100gpm Kocheck nozzle. Dumps the water on very quickly. I know it's not what you want on Bent....in August....in Atlanta....but on TifDwarf in Florida in August it's perfect.
