WOW is all I can say about this year in Chicago.
Good thing the golf ball is disease resistant.

    Brian,

Echo the same right down the street here at Briarwood. Wish we got a dollar for every spot there was this morning! Looked like it snowed in the rough in spots.

Dont feel alone saw the same this morning here in my new position as Assitant here close by in the area. Not Chicago weather for sure! This is more like what I grew up with in Mid-Atlantic transition zone, but even there no multi 100 degree days.....It must end soon record was 100 year top list! hang in there, Sunday weatherman says we will be converted back to normal.

I'm affraid that there is no "normal" anymore. 12 months straight with average temps above average?

What part of the mid-atlantic was that? Not that unusual to see multi-100 degree days. We too should see a cool down by Monday.

    Keith,

Spent long time in DC area and triple digit temps not too often, multi days in high 90's yes! high humidity all summer yes! JMO.. Triple digit temperatures belong in Arizona desert but usually with low humidity a different animal all together. Just putting out my life long experience with Mid-atlantic conditions and fun in transition zone, no more or less.... here in Chicago area we saw dollar spot in the rough, places looking like puffs of white cotton candy, or even a light snowfall sometimes seen back home in DC area. It was crazy rare for sure here in Chicago area. This was a 3 day temperature and humidity event that set records over history of weather in this area. The picture posted said it all! Now passing and smiles on many faces :)

    Gregg,

Spent first half my career in central Maryland, now in central Virginia...seems to me every couple to three years you can expect stretches of 100 or near 100 degree days. Agree, mid to upper 90's is more the norm.

Looks like a few of my fairways last saturday morning. Can anyone guess what they looked like on monday morning? I think the owners might find the money to spray fairways next budget.
