Umaxx release period Cancel The title field is required!

   Has anyone else had any issues with the length of release period for Umaxx? We seem to have only gotten about 6-8 weeks of release compared to the 12-16 that the sales rep and Agrotain website advertises. The product was a 22-0-11 with 18.7% stabilized N from Umaxx. Irrigation and precipitation events have been average as well. The local rep somewhat admitted that others in the area (Northeast) had some similar performance issues as well, but he failed to show up for the meeting he scheduled here to discuss the problem. Anyway, just wondering if anyone else had similar situations with the product. Thanks.

   What rate did you apply the material? I think that their release rates are based on the amount of N/fert applied and there will always be environmental factors that affect the R.O.R.

   I've used the Umaxx product for two different seasons, but all of them have been with a minimum of 75% of the nitrogen being stabilized with Umaxx to up to 98%. The 75% product had the other 25% of the nitrogen derived from a natural organic source. Both of the products delivered excellent release over at least the 12 week period. These were applied at .625lbs N k/sqft.
   I would suggest that the product only being 18% Umaxx is the problem. Probably releasing all its N quickly then the residual Umaxx nitrogen is not really enough to keep you happy.

   Thanks for the input. After further inspection on the label it turns out we were delivered the wrong product. What we ordered was to be 85% UMAXX and what we got was 18.7% so I believe that to be the issue. Guess it pays to double check the label and the invoice.
