How well do the Turf Pride core collectors work on severely undulated greens? I am more concerned about the implement gouging into the greens than leaving some plugs behind.

I have not had any problems with scuffing or gouging, we do drop a few cores when traversing a slope.
If pulling a lot of material the box will load up and start to spill off the sides, is the only issues I have experienced.

We have not had any problems on the greens here and they are very undulated. It will leave some plugs behind either at the bottom of a hill or at the top depending on which way you are traveling. It has worked great for us and saved countless labor hours over the last few years.

No issues here with dragging or digging. A few missed plugs here and there. Couldn't imagine aerifying greens without it.

In my situation, I have to aerify at night because I only have one closed day. Thinking of topdressing prior to aerifying, and beginning the aerification immediately after. How do you think the TP Core Collector may work in this situation?

    Thanks in advance,

    Wags

We tried it today on a chipping green and collected some sand, but we didn't really play with the adjustment, have heard many positive stories.

    Hey Wags,

We top dress first. No issues. Only concern I would have with doing it at night is the settling dew making the sand damp. That being said, we start coring right after top dressing with damp sand and no issues.

    Hope all is well!

Thanks, Andy and Mel. We had the luxury of some extra closed time for our last aerification. We did topdress prior to aerifying, maybe used up to 25% more sand due to the pick up from the CoreHarvester. That's the thing that I want to eliminate from the program. Just leaves too many ruts, a vicious machine that is a bit past its time. Worked well back in the glory days when there were less options, but IMHO needs to be put out in the pasture. The TurfPride looks simple and has a real good reputation among those that have them. The F1 Core Collector video looks really good as well.

    Thanks for the feedback,

    Wags
