Can anybody tell me a rough estimate or what you pay for Becker Underwoods new turf colorant, Transition HC. My local vendor has been trying for two weeks to get me a price. Interested in buying but not sure how or how much. Thanks

    James,

We are performing a trial with 7 different pigment products. So far the Transition has shown the best, "real green" look. I can also attest that it has stained the back of my cart real well. I am on the hunt for the price as well, and hoping my rep can get it to me. What I have so far has been a demo.

If you can get it at $105.00/gal you should buy everything they have and become your own distributor. They may as well give it away.

Thank you Paul. It sounds like it will work better than even some of their other products.

Finally purchased some at $121.00/gal. Now for my next question, if you have been using it what type of equipment are you putting it out with and what nozzles are working best? Thank you all for your help.

I apply with a hand gun, found it is easier to blend and looks way better. It takes me about 11 working hours to hand apply to 3 acres of greens. I am only getting 3 weeks max on greens at 96 ozs/acre on TifDwarf...........

If your turf is still growing like ours, we've found that 20oz/ac boom sprayed with flat fans bi-weekly along with our foliar program works great. Our collars are still green though and also treated, so the over spray isn't noticed. It's lasting the full two weeks from what we are seeing. But, like I said, we're still growing and the pigment and fert help that continue. This is on TifDwarf and TifSport in central Florida.
