Has anyone else had problems recently with new Toro 1" quick coupler valves not working properly? Starting late last season, we've installed a few new couplers around the course and had to replace a few others due to breaks and several of them seem to have lower pressure than they should and one of them actually turns off if you turn it too far when turning it on. You actually have to sit there and get it in just the right spot in order to get sufficient pressure. Don't know if we just got a bad batch or if they've changed something? According to our distributor, nothing's changed but I thought I'd ask here to see if anyone else has experienced it and what they've done to fix it. I assume there's something wrong with the piston that isn't allowing it to open all the way but since they're working - albeit not quite optimally - haven't taken the time to turn the water off, dig it up, and look into it.

No issues with pressure thus far but we are having problems with them turning off after removing qc key. If removed quickly water will continue to flow even with key removed.

I have a Rain Bird QC that will act similar to what yours is doing, It's been installed for about 3 years, figure one of these winters I would pull it out and take it about or something.

    Jeffrey,

When were they installed? It's starting to drive me crazy. The worst offender is, of course, on one the hottest greens on the course.

It was installed over the winter and I just replaced it last week with a new one that does the same thing.
