Ever since I've been at my current club (3 years), one of my satellites has never communicated with my central. Last year my driving range satellite began doing the same thing. I am running the 2.0 older metal box satellites (3.1 SitePro software). I am hardwired in (no radios), and can set the boxes on Stand Alone to manually water programs overnight. Works, but is annoying to run out to the boxes and manually change watering schedule everyday.

I have tried replacing face plate, communication board, surge board, ribbons and wires, module board, and with headphones checked the communication with my FIU directly at the the satellite (good), still no communication. What am I missing? Trying to find a solution myself since my rep hasn't been much help on this matter. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

    Thanks,

Do you have NSN coverage? They could troubleshoot a central issue for you.

So the main things are address satellite address at the central correct, and there are some other things I can't remember in the Group/Sat/Station screens that you have to assign com setting to. ( I used to be a toro rep here in texas) One of the things we used to do is move components from one working satellite to a non-working to isolate the problem.

I'm not sure about the headphones checking communication. I know our service techs used them to check for a screaming modem on the line, but not sure about comm.

Bottom line, if you have all the settings right in the central, the components are good in the field, it has to be the comm wire. Bad splices can be the cause. Even splices in the box if it goes from one box to the bad one.

Hope some of this helps. Lots of scattershooting!
