We have just made the switch from 7 or 8 ( dopey me ) blade Jacobsen fairway mower to Toro 5610 with 11 blades. The Jacobsen was cutting very well at 14 years old. We have been renovating the Jake at the moment.

The Toro 5610 is a few weeks old and has been set up a couple of times by the Toro mechanic. The Toro 5610 leaves ridges on slopes. We are mountainous course on Mediterranean coast.

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced these difficulties and has a solution. A mechanic at another course has said that the rear cutting units are too far back and cannot adapt.

Fairways have very little thatch ( my guys say to expect plenty with 11 blades )
    Any help, greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Michael

Is it in straight cuts or when they are turning? Ours does this when it is turning or cutting in a circular pattern and that is caused by the rear reels being back too far for the tight radiance, we just make a second cut about a 1" inside the first cut to clean it up.
