Anyone have any input on the Toro 4000 Groundsmaster either positive or negative. We are in the market for a self contained unit and like this machine compared to some of the others. Thank You.

We have a 2007 Toro Groundsmaster 4000. It currently has close to 3500 hours on it. Overall I have been pleased with it. Have had a few small hydraulic leaks with O-rings blowing out, but otherwise it has run like a top (knock on wood). We put mulch guards on it in the fall for leaf cleanup. It does a great job plowing through and mulching thick leaves.

I have 2008, 2900 hours, love it, mows 55 acres or rough once to twice per week. NImble, fuel efficient, plenty of power to pound right through 4-5" bluegrass wet.

A couple minor issues last season overheating, changed fan clutch, thermostat, and water pump...runs cool now. My model doesn't have the reversing fan on it. No problems with the engine or hydraulics. Keep it greased.

    I'd buy it again.

    Good luck.
