TiffEagle vs. MiniVerde Cancel The title field is required!

   I currently have TifEagld and am totally happy with it. That being said, there is only one place in TX to get TiffEagle and it is getting scarce. MiniVerde is readily avaliable. Has anyone combined the two grasses on a nursery and been able to see a difference? I'm considering doing a couple thousand sq ft of nursery just to see what it holds up like and if it is considerably different from my Eagle.

   I've "heard" there is a club in Jacksonville, Fl that has both on a putting green and can't tell the difference.

   When I was an AIT at Timuquana in Jax we had a Tifeagle and MiniVerde test green planted side by side in the short game area. The MiniVerde seemed to have a little more grain as felt through the walk mower, but I can almost guarantee the membership could not tell the difference.

   Six years ago we planted half of our putting green with Tifeagle and the other with Mini Verde as a test for converting to ultradwarf Bermudagrass. To this day no one can tell a difference. If I was not there when they planted it I could not tell the difference.
