I just feel the need to put this out there. I never thought in a million years I would be spraying for algae in western NY at the end of September. But here we are! Next it'll probably be pythium in October. I guess the turf will forever keep me on my toes!

Not just in the NorthEast this year.

Agree, not just the Northeast. It has been a very hot year in Asia also; almost a month with daily temperatures over a 100 in Korea, now another typhoon rolling up the chain of islands in Japan, temperatures not dropping below 90 in southern China for 6 straight weeks. Here in NE Florida temperatures still in the low 90's every day. Make you wonder what is next??

    Michael,
Even stranger, just 100 miles north of you in Orleans County we are still in near drought conditions, still watering greens, tees and fairways last week. Ponds are nearly dried up.
But I'd still rather have it hot and dry than wet

I couldn't agree more. I had Tony come down from Faery's and he said the same thing. Said it was weird driving south and watching things green up the farther south he went. I got another inch of rain today with potential for more later. I sure hope someone has built an ark....
