Square Tees Cancel The title field is required!

   For those who maintain or have maintained square tee boxes, what are some of the tricks to keeping them square? Straight edges and no rounded corners! We walk mow and the tees are Zeon zoysia. My staff does a pretty good job, but we could be much more crisp.

   Takes alot of work, we put rebar pegs in the corners and countersunk them so that they are easy to locate with a metal detector. Then we string line and paint out a couple of times a year.

   I used 4" PVC pipe with concrete on each corner worked great. Could even place numbers for yardage in side if wanted. ued a cup cutter to make the hole about 5" deep.

   In the UK, allot of the soccer managers use these to keep line points exact.

   Just trim down to the required height and they can be seen by the operator but not necessarily visible for the golfer. Plus the option to purchase them in different colors.

   I like the idea Lee, for the cost conscious you can get grade stake 'whiskers' in a variety of colors for about $4 for a pack of 25. They can be attached to a nail, wood stake, plastic stake, or probably even a tee. Counter sink them and trim to height. They are held together with a metal clip but I suppose one could replace that with a tight zip tie around an oversized tee or small plastic stake to eliminate all the metal that might damage a reel if it got sucked up. I may give that a try.
