Would like to spread roughs without overthrowing into the fairways. Have a Lely ground driven, but spread is too wide. Any other good spreaders out there that will work for this type of application? Walk spreading is not an option.

We have one of these and love it. We mounted it to a 2x6 and "C" clamp it to the back of a Carry-all. Put a block of wood under the gas pedal to control speed. Works great and throws about 10' wide.

If you have the tow behind Lely you can rotate the feeder slots so that it only throws to one side. The manual says to set the rate at 40 percent of what you would set it at for the normal rate full side to side

Have you seen the Earthway I have mounted to my HPX? Works pretty good. Fully adjustable. Holds maybe 120lbs. I like using it around our greens, bunkers and lake edges. It hooks directly to the battery and will spread anywhere from 5' to 15'. You would have to figure out a way to mark your passes though. Probably a foam marker would be best. Come over and check it out.
    Cheers

We've been using our Dakota 410 on our ProGator to spread granular in the rough the last couple years as we spray our fairways. Seems to work well for us. We've got it dialed in so it throws about 30 feet which is as much as I need. It only takes us typically one pass around every fairway.
