In the market to be replacing my Toro 1100 sprayer this fall. I've demo'd the SmithCo with the GPS system on it and the John Deere sprayer. According to Toro they won't be out with a new 160 gal sprayer for a year or two so don't think they are an option. Any recommendations or thoughts on these units? Think the GPS system will be nice for accurate applications and possible save some money on overlapping or spraying areas that don't need sprayed.

Out of curiousity, why 160 gallons?

I like the 200 gal sprayers and I spray my greens with 150 gallons of water and fill it up for army worms, tees, and fairways.

    Just curious

Not sure how Toro selected to have a 160 gallon tank on the sprayer when they made the 1100.

You won't go wrong with replacing it with Toro's 1250 sprayer.

I have two Toro 1250's, one Toro 200 gal Workman and a Deere 200 gal ProGator. Of them all, the Workman and ProGator are both very comparable, and hands down better than the 1250's. The only real difference is the Gator has a centrifugal pump vs. diaphragm pump on the Workman. I wouldn't buy another 1250. Way to cheap and breaks down way to often. Much rather have the larger tanks, just don't fill it all the way.

I just spent my first day on Pro Gator 200 gal sprayer doing fairways, we did greens in the morning with this sprayer. I see no reason not to utilize this sprayer for everything. I have utilized every sprayer ever made for many years. This was my first time on this one and within a few passes and few minutes had it down. After doing a late morning/early afternoon spraying of most of the fairways I have this easy to run machine down tight. It is fun to operate and runs smoothly as you would like a sprayer too! I have used them all from cushman, smithco, toro, down the line.....do not pass this one up as it will do the job at all levels very well! for greens you do not have to go with a full load 200 gallons! Once again I go back to the keep it simple silly ideology!!!! JMO for sure....

i inherited a pro gator 200 gal...it has been down no time since i have been here in 11 months. i do miss the multipro with cab and a/c...

given the option if $ is not the issue, i would go for the toro...the jd will do the job however and like i said, has held up well.
