Buying the real foam marker product is expensive. Is anyone out there using dish soap or similar as a cheaper method? I have a TORO unit, they charge about $100 for a 1 gal jug that does last me 2 years, but if there is a safe and less expensive alternative, I like to know what that is. Thanks.

I have used it and it works fine. It was like 6 oz per foam tank if memory serves. Play with it for a while and see what you come up with.

I bought a gallon of foam marking concentrate from my local chemical distributor. It's either Cleary's (like the tank cleaner or defoamer) or Underwood I think? It cost me $19.89 a couple of years ago.

Dave, You're actually worried about $50.00 per year?

I've always used dawn dish liquid. Just the plain dawn, not the concentrated stuff and it works just fine.

A product made by Richway Industries in Janesville, IA called Foam-A-Lot. One gallon lasts me about 2 years and costs about $20. Pretty sure it's meant for Ag Sprayers, but works great.

I was gonna say, last gallon I bought from Lesco was like $25. Lasts about 4 years here! This is because my guys use about $20,000 in dye instead!
