Evening, looking to purchase two new rollers for each of my courses next year, currently looking at Smithco Tournament Electra rollers ( i have increasing noise pressures, hence the electrics) any feedback would be welcome on this machine. many thanks

While I wasn't using the electric version of this roller I was a fan of it. We had it for a month or so as a demo at a course I used to work at and I really liked it. I felt that it functioned a little better than the electric salsco greens rollers we had at the time. That could be because it was a gas powered model but I think you'll be happy with it. Just a note of consideration though, I would demo one to make sure it can make it all the way around your course. I would have to switch rollers half way through on 18 holes because I ran out of juice.

Thanks for considering Smithco Lee. A quick point on Kirby's post, he may have had our old DC Electric version. We now produce it as an AC Electric, which is a lot more efficient. In our testing at Indian Creek CC in Miami Beach, we were able to roll 27 greens that averaged about 6000 square feet, with good Trojan batteries. For what it's worth, I recommend the AGM batteries, despite the extra cost. 100% performance out of the box, and they are sealed, so very little maintenance.

Many thanks for the feedback. Just waiting for the machine to come in on demo. I also had a recommendation to look at silent muffler kits for the honda engines. something i haven't come across in the UK, so will explore that option and maybe able to stay with the gas version??
