I'm looking for a more permanent solution to keep our topdressing sand dry. We currently cover our concrete bins with tarps that don't last a month without tearing. Not in the market for a sand silo but like the idea of covering the bin with something similar to a portable car port. Only problem with the car port is that I need to accept deliveries with a minimum of 16' clearance. Any recommendations?

    Hi Ryan,
We cover our sand with a frame we made out of conduit. There is a tarp that goes around the frame that lasts for about a year. It is still high enough that we can get our skid steer under it to get to the sand. We then put braces across when we need to take off for deliveries. It takes 4 guys to take off ( can't be short). I can take some pictures if your interested. Our bin is 14' by 24' and the tarp and conduit can't be more than $300. You also need a conduit bender.

Used old billboard material with good success in the past - little tough to move in cold weather but its very strong compared to standard tarps

Thanks for the info guys! Michael, have you used this company? I have inquired about pricing on their website and will weigh it out with Stephen's idea.
