Is there a reflective adhesive that can be used on flag sticks to replace the Laser Link prisms ?

    Thanks,
    John Westermeier

I have used the reflective tape that You use on a trailer. You can get it at your local auto store. Cut it to size, then I used clear shrink tube to go over the tape to protect it from the elements. Worked out pretty good, and a lot cheaper.

We have lost multiple drives due to "dirty" power witch is the drive trying to operate and not having the current that is needed. We installed multiple surge protectors and over grounded the system and the issue seems to be resolved.

Basic reflective tape from Home Depot works just fine for range finders, you just have to attach the tape low enough to be visable under a hanging flag at rest.

    Robert,

Basic reflective tape won't work with early models from Laser Link. I am trying to find something to make everyone happy.

    Thanks,
    John

    John,

A few vendors at GIS in San Diego had this 3M reflective tape in different colours which is used for the laser range finders. Costs a couple of dollars to do per flagpole.

How much reflective tape needs to be on a flagstick for the handheld yardage finders?
I saw in an earlier thread on this forum, information about reflective tape available at Home Depot, but I don't know how much is actually recommended on each pole.

I use 2" strips on mine. the reflective tops for the flagstick is only about 2" tall so we just matched up with that.

    Brian,

I posted a question about this a while back and found out that the reflective tape from Prestige Flag (prestigeflag.com) is the way to go.
