What are people's thought about the Redox product line? Good/Bad? Does this system deliver the the proper nutrition and results as they claim? Exploring other nutrition lines for the upcoming year. Tried Griggs, Floratine, Emerald Isle, Love Land, etc. Still leaning towards the Love Land line for this year but heard a talk today about Redox today and sparked an interest. Thanks.

I sat through a really excellent presentation regarding this product. I have been using it on greens ever since. They have been great for well over a year. I don't understand it, but it has been good so far. I'm doing it. I use the Turf Rx Supreme with Uflex. I am also using the new formulation of Insignia monthly. I buy it 5 gallons at a time which makes it much cheaper, only $940 a gallon! They are raving about the greens and the cash register is humming.

I will be using some of these products next season. The cost is much lower then other products.

Great product line. I've used RxCal, RxMag, Penecal, RX P+, Rx Supreme, and Rx Gold. Greens here have never been better since I started using Redox. In the spirit of full disclosure, some (myself included) have reported diffuculty getting the wp's into solution or staying in solution. On occasion the suction screen on my 1250 will get clogged. They now make Rx supreme and Rx fairway in a flowable formulation and believe they are trending that way with most of their products.

The whole line is available as flowables now.
I use it on my fairways, roughs and tees and it works. I haven't started using it on greens yet, but I did the math and it will save me 10k over the course of a year.

    Regards,

    Steve

I started using the Micro+ this year on fairways and loved it. My only complaint is that it is so dusty when mixing but if it becomes available in liquid and remains in the same price point I will expand the area I am using it for sure.

IMHO if you're debating on trying Redox products you have to ask yourself one question......"Do you believe that your soil is a "bank" that stores nutrients for future plant use?" If you believe this to be true, you may not want to use Redox.....as that is not their philosophy behind nutrient delivery. I have been to one of their presentations and have determined that their product line is not right for me.......but that doesn't mean that it wont work for someone else.

Well, there is certainly more than one way to get it done, but if you are referring to the fact that Redox goes out via a sprayer and you think that makes it a foliar product, I have to disagree. At least the way I use it, it is entirely pushed into the soil the same way you would use a granular product, it just lacks all all of the bulk and the sulfur loading which may or may not be a good thing depending on what you are trying to accomplish. It does take a bit to wrap your mind around it, though.

    Steve

We have been using redox products exclusively since 2010 and have seen fantastic results. Our greens are the best that they have ever been,(speed, playability, aesthetics)The consistent results are what sets redox apart from other products that I have used. The only issue that we have had is some of the older products are a bit messy to mix, this is easily solved by building a mixing tank. The help that we have received from our redox rep has been another positive.

I have been using the Redox product line on Tees, Approaches, Fairways, and Greens for the past year with great results. I personally feel the technology behind Redox is the future of fertilization in turf and landscape. With more and more pressure on reducing environmental impacts, Redox allows you to maintain excellent turf and at a fraction of the nutrient load. We're seeing it with newer pesticides that are using rates that are a fraction of what older chemistry used to recommend, and I feel the future of fertilization will follow a similar trend.

I have been using Redox for 2 years and am excited about using it again in the future. The first year I used it just on my fairways (Rx Fairway @ 4 lb, Penecal @ 1oz, Fe @ 1lb with Uflexx @ .75lbs/100 as an N source). I was so satisfied with the results I incorporated my tees this year (Rx Fairway @ 4 lb, Penecal @ 1 oz, Fe @ 1lb and cut my Uflexx to .25 lb/1000 with no loss in turf quality or health. With the cost savings using Redox on fairways and tees I was able to use that money to purchase an extra application for the rough as compared to other years which is/was one of the weakest turf areas on my course.
I also tinkered with it on a couple greens and am right now developing a hybrid plan using my other Foliar product but supplementing it with Redox. Results we saw on these greens was greater root development in both density and length.
My golf course is located in Calgary, Alberta and the greens are a poa/bent mix while the fairway and tees are a Kentucky Bluegrass/poa mix. We use a blend of river water and effluent for irrigation so our bicarbs and pH are quite high. The powders were a bit of a headache the first time we applied but we were able to turn our water tank into a mix tank which works great. Dale Miller of Redox was just at our course and he confirmed most of the products will be in a flowable formulation either this year or in the near future.
