I would love to sit in my office where my sitepro central is and see what is going on at the pump station. I have a Watertronics station and it is impossible to hardwire between the two.

What might be out there and for how much?

    Thanks

    Hi Douglas,

We have a Rain Bird central and Watertronics pump station. 2 years ago we linked the pump station info to our central which is called Watervision (a Watertronics product). The two systems do not "communicate" with each other (could pay $2000+ for a software upgrade and it would) but the pump info is visible at the shop computer or by "logmein) on my laptop or smartphone. It is a line of sight radio link which may be a problem for some depending on your topography.

I could look up the cost if you would like for what we got.

If you have internet or wifi near your pump station it is an easy upgrade to be able to monitor your station from anywhere you can access the internet. Office, phone, ipad, home, anywhere in the world.

If you are going to GIS stop by the Watertronics booth and look up Bill Thorton. Bill was a long time Toro employee who now works for Watertronics.

We have a new station (2 years old) Watertronic and it communicates to our central wirelessly. There is a comm box attached to the station to send the data over, so it is for sure possible but I have no idea of the cost as it was part of our system from the factory. May be worth a call to Watertronics directly or Midwest Irrigation who did our install and sells Watertronics.

Our local service company installed a system that downloads via cellualr data to a website called Netbiter. We can pull up the information from any internet connected computer, Flowtronics Station. Shows flow, PSI, which pumps are running and any alarms. It will also send you a text and email if the system faults, we've been very happy with it and it's saved us several trips to the club since it was installed. We took it one step further and installed a system in which we can send a text to the pump station and turn the system off or on or the same for each of the pumps. The on and off switch system was a custom install but it works great.
