I am in the process of collecting bids and ideas for replacing 3 bridges on golf course property. These bridges cross water, are approximately 60' * 8', and will be used for carts and limited equipment. I have quotes from local bridge builders but am curious about prefabricated bridges. Anyone had any dealings with prefabricated bridge companies or their products? I am in the panhandle of Florida.
    Thanks

I had incredibly stout poured concrete bridges at The Longboat Key Club. I do not know how much they cost, but we took very heavy trucks over them. Jonathan's Landing in Jupiter, FL has a ferry. You drive the carts on to it, push a button and voila! It is a unique experience.

Western Wood Structures fabricated a 190' long ( 3 support structures ) glu-lam bridge for our club about 15 years ago and it still looks good. It came on one truck and a local contractor erected it with the help of one of the company reps on sight. We did need a crane to lift beams for installation, but a rough terrain Lull could move them around on the ground. I recommend them.
