I am planning on spraying phosphites on my fairways regularly and will be applying Primo at .20 to start. My thoughts are that spraying a phosphite every two weeks that I might be able to reduce my Primo rates a little bit.
Has anyone been able to successfully lower their Primo rates with a phosphite? Thanks in advance,

    Andrew

To my knowledge, Phosphites do not have any effect on the growth rate of the turf. Therefore, Primo rates would be uneffected.

I know that phosphites have no growth regulation effect. I just thought that when phosphites are used in a tank mix, that they help what ever foliar absorbed materials get into the plant more efficiently. My thought was that I may be able to reduce my Primo rates a little.

I don't think it will reduce primo rates Andrew.

I was told by my local sales rep for primo not to tank mix phosphite. If he was wrong let me know cause I'm going out this week with Primo and would sure like to kill two birds with one stone.

I sprayed them both together and had no issues, I just made sure the phosphite went into the tank last. I know it's speculation, but In two weeks I am going to try and reduce my Primo rate a tad and see what happens with my regulation. If I don't think it's high enough I'll just document it and add more the next time.

I spray Phosphites with Primo every week. I have not seen any compatibility issues and I have not been able to reduce my primo rates. I've been doing this for about 5 years now,, so the jury is no longer out.

    Regards,

    Steve

Thanks Steve, glad to hear you have a lot of experience with this. I'll keep my Primo rates the same.

Been mixing the two on Bent/Poa for the past three years. No issues. Same with Paclobutrazol.

I thought phosphites had to be watered in???? That's what my rep told me. I guess I never mix them together because I don't want to water in the Primo.

My understanding is that they are primarily foliar absorbed similar to Alliette
