For those of you who have a microscope in your maintenance facilities for identifying turf pathogens, what are you looking for. I'm looking to replace one that is no longer good, and I've looked at a couple refurbished units that seem like a pretty good deal. Thanks for any replies.

I have an AmScope with 20x and 40x lenses. Up and down lighting. It was around $300 when I bought it a few years ago. Been good.

I bought a refurbished Motic B1 series microscope from Martin Microscope.http://www.martinmicroscope.com It was recommended by Dr. Rick Latin from Purdue and Dr. Alan Windham from University of Tennessee. It has been great so far, I have had it for two years. It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles, but does it's job very well. I had it fitted with 10x ocular lenses and 10X, 40X and 100X objective lenses.
