Is there a better way to paint hazard lines than using an aerosol upside down can? I was thinking of diluted latex paint in a sprayer. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

There is something on the Primo label about adding it to paint so it lasts longer. I would guess you can use the same paint the athletic guys use to mark fields (although I am not familiar with the products or where to get them). I'm sure one of your vendors may know which product, or make a call to an Athletic Field Superintendent (not sure their official titles).

Never tried anything different then spray from an aerosol can. Not sure how latex paint would work, say it could be worth a try but I'd to a test area to see how it lasted before doing your whole course

    Adam,

Some years ago I used diluted white latex paint in a pump-up athletic line painter. Worked fine once proper dilution found through trial and error. Clean up afterwards was crucial and a huge pain, ended up going back to spray cans.

    Good luck,

There has been advertisements of a newer system that works like the aerisols but it uses plastic tubes of paint instead of the cans.I think I saw it advertised on this site somewhere or maybe an email from one of the GCSAA partners. I wish they could add roundup to it myself. At least that way the grass would not outgrow the paint. Primo may work just as well but I wonder if the paint on the leaf tissue would keep the plant from taking up the chemicals.

I did the roundup thing along a creek once. The ground along the line broke away and fell into the creek. I wouldn't advise it
