Just got a demo POGO today. Would like some feedback from other ultradwarf guys about the "magic" number you're looking for in order to rest easy. Any and all advice is appreciated.

I think what you're going to find is that there are many factors that determine your number set. Your root depth, fertility, irrigation water quality and wetting agent practices will all come in to play. You start POGOing your areas and watching your numbers to find what ranges your best turf is in. Then you compare those against areas that may not be all that awesome. It's pretty exciting to start seeing how an area that you think is dry may very well have adequate moisture, maybe even very close to, if not just as much as a not so lush area, but your salinity index may be down too low or maybe ec is out of whack. For us we've found that if we aren't getting rain we need to keep moisture up around 22%-24% with our reclaimed water. When we get some consistent rains we can rock n roll down around 18%-21%. I've talked to guys who stay under 17% with some pretty awesome greens, but we run in to problems pretty quickly when we drop that low for too long. it won't take long before you get a feel for what's good and what needs a change.

Thanks Jackson. I'm pretty excited about the information the POGO will give us.
