I would like to see what others are doing with their 250 or 275 totes vs. disposing of them.

    thanks,

    Mark

we have 2 that we have used to drain our spray tanks into when they start clogging the pump. Then lift back up and double strain back into tank. Has saved our butt twice in the last few years.

We wash our equipment with domestic water and we can't get enough volume through the existing 3/4 inch lines and hose to get grass off the mowers so we fill a tote with water and use an old trash pump to pump water back out of the tote through a 1 inch hose. It works great and cut our wash time from 15 minutes per machine to about 45 seconds. We have a float set up in the tote so it fills automatically and never overflows which was another issue.

we use one along with a trash water pump from Northern Tool to mix our soluble fertilizers and chems - we're able to fill our spray tank in less than a minute

Portable water supply for non-irrigated landscape areas in the summer. Modified the banjo fitting to take a 3/4" hose. Gravity fed water supply in the back of a Progator.

We typically try to reuse them and refill them buying bulk liquid fertilizer. Way cheaper this way....about half price when buying in bulk. We have a company that sells fertigation, so they just come and pump into them. Comes in handy when doing fairway applications.

Water tankers. For both watering plants and pressure washing.

Cut the top off and we store extra gravel, etc....that we just don't have a place for in a pile.

Have also cut the top off and stored fertilizer that was left over out of a killebrew trailer.

I know of some guys that cut the top off, fill with sand and let it dry in the shop to be used for topdressing spots on greens.

We took just the tank portion and made a makeshift "house" for our irrigation hydraulic pump.

We're about to cut one up to store metal rope stakes in.

Had an employee that made a doghouse out of one.

Our company vehicle detailer takes any extra we may have and sells them at the flea market.

Gave a couple to a guy to use in his carpet cleaning business.
