I know this is a old post. I have personally done the 15' thing... We here at Reynolds Plantation were one of the first courses to feature taylormade's " Hack golf". We were featured in ESPN magazine. It is definitely something different. There has been some talking of doing it for special events, for example our womens golf association requested it on a couple par 3's this past week. the actual install is quite different as you would imagine. The cup cutter can not be plunged into the green, one must strike it with a rubber mallet, making this a two person job... the plug itself resembles a large birthday cake rather than a plug! we have taken to putting the "Plug" on a piece of plywood approx. 20X20. It is definitely something different, and I wouldn't want to do it every day. 9 holes will leave you with muscles aching that you didn't know you had. nonetheless it is still pretty impressive to putt into a manhole cover....
