Anyone used either of these two products to control nematodes. NEO-Tec SO says it will lower the counts while NatureCur will just protect your roots. Our levels have almost tripled since last year when assays were submitted. Most are around double the threshold for ring. We have not seen anything visually yet from the grass, but seeing what products will keep it that way. G-2 Bentgrass in Atlanta. Thanks.

Also check out MultiGuard and Nortica.

I looked at MultiGuard but the cost was much higher than these two alternatives and it has shown some yellowing on bentgrass in our area. I will talk to our Bayer rep to see how Nortica has performed on bentgrass. Thanks Andy for the suggestions. Have you had any success with NatureCur or NEO-Tec SO

I have never used the NatureCur, but recently started a program using Neo-tec. There are some guys down here that have had success with the Neo-Tec after using it religously in a program for a number of years. Like anything, it is a program and you can't expect results after 2-3 applications. We are in our third month, so the jury is still out for us.

Giving this a bump Andy, just to see if you ever did see anything out of the Neo Tec? I know a supe in SC who used to swear by it but I was never sold personally.

Visually the greens were better. We did the program again the second year but it was hard to say what actually was working. We continued with MultiGuard and Curfew apps those years while using the NeoTec. Once Avid became labeled for greens, we started using it as well. Basically, if it is/was labeled for Nematodes, we were/are using it in a program.

    Our current program(yes, it's costly):

    Spring - Nortica
March and into April - MultiGuard at 8gal/ac followed by 5.5gal/ac every 21 days for three applications.
May - Avid or Curfew depending on aerification schedule
    June - Opposite of above
    July - typically nothing
August and into September - MultiGuard at 8gal/ac followed by 5.5gal/ac every 21 days for three applications
    September - Avid
    October - Nortica

Dr. Crow has some trials going on with a similar program/methodology of our program. I don't know the results, but all claim to control nematodes alone, so in combination there should be even more.

Steve Wright down in Boca posted a photo on Twitter the other day of a great looking green that has had the NeoTec program on it for years. From what I've gathered, those that have been on the program for many years have virtually zero Nematode issues.

We used our last bag of Nemacur last week, so looking forward to the glimmer of hope in the next year or so on new options.
