Anybody have anything that works. I have sting, root knot, and lance at relatively high levels. Texas has the supplemental lable for Avid that will work on the sting but there is nothing chemically out there for the others. Anybody have any ideas other than just trying to grow through it?

I saw a test where Avid was applied over the top and watered in, where it was injected with a Cushman Hydroject, and applied over the top and injected. Injecting and applying over the top worked extremely well.

Multiguard Protect EC. Trying one acre next month and will test before and after to confirm control. Very expensive. Not sure of control on the endo but worth a look for sure.

Ive heard of a product called Econem but never tried it myself. Curious to hear if anyone else has tried this biological product to control nematodes, heard it works well but who knows!

If it is labeled for Nematodes, I have tried it. Of all the products currently on the market except Curfew, we have had the best success with MultiGuard Protect. We did several trials last year with it and pulled samples from 5 different greens prior to and following each monthly application. After each application our Sting counts cut in half. One green was as high as 240/10cc, or 24x the threshold limit. First application reduced to roughly 120, second to 60, etc....After the third application we went ahead with out pre-planned Curfew application. We then continued the program as we moved into the fall with three sequential applications. Although we maxed out the amount of product we could apply, we were happy with the results. We have already made one application this spring at the high rate, and will follow it up with app #2 next week.

We have also had good success with Nortica. However, I personally feel that you need to knock down the existing application for this product to be effective. This is achieved by either applying Curfew or applying Nortica in the fall prior to cool weather that would naturally slow the Nematodes down. We have also applied applications of Nortica this year.

Planning on it. Any chance to play the Presidents course can't be missed. I got back from a 2 week vacation the day before the Envirotron so that was a no go. Would have liked to play but the 6 hour round was not missed.

BTW, what are neeematoads? A new microbial?

I tested the Avid on my eleventh green with good results. My problem is that I have root knot and lance on many of the other greens. MultiGuard working on those?

A few local guys are have minor problems with nematodes and although I have not tested yet I have a few minor thin areas that possibly could be caused by nematodes. They are healing now that we are getting warmer weather. I brought it up to the greens committee and said I would take a sample this week.
A member suggested: "Spraying sugar water on the greens will turn the nematodes sweet and they will eat each other."
At first I thought he was kidding, but realized he was not. Having only dealt with nematodes once, years ago with Nemacur, I thought I would ask you guys if this has any merit. What rate? Water into root zone?

    Would kool aid work better?

I think you should go with orange juice...mix it with vodka, probably a 3:1 ratio. A few of those and your problems will fade away. Good Luck

Surprisingly, if you Google sugar and nematodes there are some scientific documents supporting this for certain types

MultiGuard is a sugar cane extract but it doesn't work through cannibalization!
