In a couple of weeks our superintendents revenge tournament is on.
I'm looking for ideas on what to do.

    1. Tee off on a par 3 with a Medicus club
    2. Put a cup on a sloped fringe
    3. Use the small practice putting cups
    4. Park equipment on approach in front of green.
    5. Cut down a putter so the handle is only 6 inches long and require golfers to putt out with that.
    6. Put multiple cups on one green
    7. Put a PVC barrier around cup with only one way to enter
    8. Have people tee off with a baseball bat
    9. Play a par 3 where golfers throw the ball instead of using clubs
    10. Require golfers to tee off from the opposite side of the ball (left handed for right handed golfers, etc)
    11. Putt with a lopsided ball
    12. Require golfers to play one hole using only one hand

Make sure everyone knows it is for laughs, not prizes.

I am thankful that I have not worked at a club that places any sort of value on having an event like this.

Seems like Supts spend more time planning and preparing for events like this than the other 364 days of the golfing season.

If you have a green near the pro shop, cut the hole deeper and put a 2 way radio under the cup. Someone in the pro shop can heckle them as they putt or put their hand in the hole to get their ball

This is our season ending event and there is a wait list to get into it. Everybody knows that this is for fun and doesn't take much to get ready for. It's fun to get ready for this. My staff enjoy's the prep and the members and public have a blast.

I got crap this year for not placing the pins in more f'ed up positions and the greens were not fast enough.

It was not on our calendar, so I forgot about it, otherwise I would have not mowed greens for two days and slowed them down

I agree Tony. I hate the planning and additional work, but at the end of the day it takes us about 4 hours of setup. However, we have a wait list each year for this event, and are actually expanding it to two courses this year. Easily one of our largest events of the year for the membership.
